Amalia and Adam met on September 4, 2015 while on vacation in at the ROYAL (seen in this photo) in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. After both returned to their respective homes, they kept in close contact from 9,612 miles away. Amalia made several trips to the U.S. and then was told she had travelled too much into the United States. In December of 2015, Adam and Amalia applied for the K1 fiance Visa.

In January of 2016, Amalia relocated to Sarnia, Canada to be "closer" to Adam. The K1 Visa process was only supposed to take 3 to 5 months. Eleven months after applying for the visa, they were finally granted a meeting with the U.S. Consulate. In March of 2017, they met with the United States Consulate in Sydney, Australia and were granted approval of the K1Visa!

After 492 days, thousands of miles driven, over 100,000 miles flown, and 5 different countries, Amalia and Adam were together again in the United States. The happy couple will be married on 7/7/17 in Nashville, TN.
